Trace your first lot with us.

Here's what working with us looks like for each kind of partner.

Exporters and importers

Today
Buyers ask for proof of origin that's hard to give for GI rice.
What you get
Lot-by-lot records of quantities, quality tests and every handoff, with a secure link to share with each buyer.

Brands and millers

Today
Anyone can print “Kalanamak” on a pack.
What you get
A QR code on every pack that opens its own history. A competitor can copy your label, but not your records.

Government and GI bodies

Today
The GI tag is hard to enforce once rice leaves the farm.
What you get
Records showing whether every plot is inside the GI area, and every attempt to add unregistered rice.

FPOs and farmer groups

Today
Your Kalanamak is sold alongside mixed rice, so buyers won't pay what it's worth.
What you get
When a buyer traces with us, your members are registered as a verified supply, with Farmer IDs buyers can trust. Our field staff do the registering; no smartphones needed.

FAQ

Can we use GrainVeda today?

The platform is still being built. We're talking to partners now about tracing the first lots with us. Write to us and we'll explain what a pilot would involve.

Which crops do you cover?

Kalanamak rice first. Joha rice from Assam, makhana from Bihar and Naga king chilli from Nagaland are next on our list.

Do farmers need a smartphone?

No. Our field staff register farmers and record their sales on their behalf.

Where are you based?

We're incubated at KIPM in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, close to where Kalanamak is grown.
